“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmaments shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard”. Psalms 19:1-3
The world is becoming more uncertain as each day passes by. Where will the next attack come from? Will our Sterling stay up or go down? Are we worried about the price of food, fuel and home heating oil? Yes, this summer has been one that has been up & down with the weather, and life is very uncertain, but as Psalms 19 declares all we have to do is look at God’s handiwork and we can see who is in charge of this world’s affairs, and we know that it is our God. The sunshine, rain from the clouds, forty shades of green all created by the One who sent His Only Son to buy us back!
Let’s stop looking down, but start looking up, for the heavens declare that our God is great!
1.The heav’ns declare Thy glory, Lord, In every star Thy wisdom shines But when our eyes behold Thy Word, We read Thy name in fairer lines.
2.The rolling sun, the changing light, And nights and days, Thy power confess But the blest volume Thou hast writ Reveals Thy justice and Thy grace.
3.Sun, moon, and stars convey Thy praise Round the whole earth, and never stand: So when Thy truth begun its race, It touched and glanced on every land.
4.Nor shall Thy spreading Gospel rest Till through the world Thy truth has run, Till Christ has all the nations blest That see the light or feel the sun.
Isaac Watts (1674-1748)
After the Men for Missions International Cabinet Meetings, many of our International guests left the shores of Northern Ireland for their own countries. A small number stayed on as we had planned a Prayer Journey into the South of Ireland. We left Roe Park Resort, Limavady about 2:30pm on Thursday 2nd June, and began our journey to Castlebar, Co. Mayo. We made it in time to be part of the Bible Study that Cavalry Mission which is held in the bookshop each Thursday night. On Friday, Paudge Mulvihill & Jonny Pollock shared about the churches in the Co. Mayo area. Then we walked to see the new church building that is going up for Calvary Church, Westport. Indeed it is a lovely building!!

After this we spent the rest of the day sight seeing around at Croagh Patrick Mountain.
On Saturday we travelled across to Roscommon where Michael Walsh opened the doors of Grace Community Church, Roscommon. He told us the story of how he was called by God, and how he and his family settled in the town of Roscommon. After seeing around the Church we left Roscommon town to travel to Dublin airport for the last of the flights for our Men for Missions International guests.
Time for 1 last ice-cream!!
Indeed it has been a privilege for the United Kingdom Men for Missions to host the 2016 International Conference.
We had 25 people from the MFM world here in the United Kingdom for the International Cabinet Meetings, hosted in the Roe Park Resort, Limavady 29th May-2nd July 2016. We had two long days of meetings while our wives had two shorter days with the Monday as a day out to see around Downhill Demesne & Hezlett House.
Wednesday was a day off for us all as a group, and we had a Civic Reception hosted by the Mayor Michelle Knight-McQuillen in the Causeway Coast & Glens Council building. After this we also visited the Royal Portrush Golf Cause, Giant’s Causeway and the Dark Hedges, before dinner at the Bayview Hotel, Portballintrea.

21st April 2016
Indeed it was a lovely day just a month ago to see our daughter getting married to William.
“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD”.
We are now in the latter end of May & June is just around the corner. Life is just so busy, and over the past few months we just cannot get a few moments to rest. Stephanie is married a month now and she and William are settling into married life well. Just around the corner is the Men for Missions International Cabinet Meetings, in Roe Park Resort, Limivady (29th May-2nd June). Before that I have the MFM-UK Cabinet Meeting in OMS Regional Office, Belfast. After the International Meetings a number are going down to the South of Ireland on a Prayer Journey 2nd-5th June.
News: Walter McCorkell our ED has asked me to become the Prayer Champion for One Mission Society. After much prayer I have decided to work at both these roles as prayer is a vital part of the work of Men for Missions. Please pray for me as I begin this duel role in July.
“Are we as Christians trusting in the true God, taking time to talk to our God in prayer? Do we love Him enough to desire to be with Him in constant fellowship throughout our prayers? As we come to Him, He not only wants to hear about our needs, problems and requests, but He also deserves our worship and adoration. He wants to receive that from us by means of our praise and thanksgiving directed to Him”. Peter Deyneka
We as His Children need to fall in love again with our God if we want to see Him move within our lives, Churches & One Mission Society/Men for Missions. Let me ask myself and you as you read this, are we going to fall back in love with Him who first loved us! If so, let us all move forward together to see the harvest brought in to the Kingdom!
“…O LORD, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comforted me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He has become my salvation. Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation”. Isaiah 12:1-3
Dear praying friends,
As we are journeying ahead into another year, we as believers need to keep our minds focused on our LORD and Saviour who is our Strength when we are weak. This year is no different than any other, the clock just keeps moving along and we find little time for the main thing in our lives, that is spending time with our LORD. He is that song within our hearts that first love that we should be always in love with and yearning to spend time with. May I encourage myself first and you secondly to plan in the days to come to set aside that special time we need to have with our LORD.
“Lord, grant that we might become so saturated with thy Word that it shall become to us safety and protection-invincible in every circumstance of life”. Joseph Parker.
“But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year unto the end of the year.” Deuteronomy 11:11-12
We as a family would like to pray God’s blessing upon you and your loved ones as we enter this New Year. Indeed as we begin another year we look back on 2015 and wonder where the past 52 weeks went!
As we look out at the next 52 weeks and wonder what have they instore for us, now is a great time to take stock of what is really important in our lives!
We do not know what is around the corner, but REMEMBER, we know who holds the future and who cares for us as individuals. Let us as His children put our all into 2016 for the extension of His Kingdom.
“In spite of the uncertainty before us, we have a cheerful and comforting message from our heavenly Father. “The LORD your God cares for [it]; the eyes of the LORD… are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.” Streams in the Desert.
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD”.
Since the last time I wrote, Audrey and I celebrated our Silver Wedding. As we look back over the past 25 years we have a lot to praise our LORD for. We give HIM thanks for two lovely daughters and for His Hand guiding me into Men for Missions along with many other things!
This verse out of Joshua has been a tower of strength for the past 25 years. As a young married couple we tried to keep these words of Joshua close to our hearts as we began our married life together.
‘But as for me and my house we will serve the LORD’
Twenty five years on, yes there have been many mountain top experiences but we also have had many valleys and dark places to travel as a couple. We do give our LORD all the Praise and Glory for keeping us over this past
25 years, and look to HIM for what ever time He gives Audrey and I together.
“In domestic affairs, I am led by Kate (my wife). In all other matters, I am led by the Holy Ghost” Martin Luther
Robin & Audrey celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on the 5th July.
As we look back over the years, all we can say is ‘To God be the Glory’, we praise His Name for the His goodness upon our married life. Over these years we have always had the words that Joshua told the people of Israel in Joshua 24:15 ‘…As for me and my house we will serve the LORD.’ Yes the road has been hard and difficult at times, but I praise my LORD for giving me such a great friend to travel this path on earth with!
Our girls Stephanie & Leanne on the 4th July gave us a surprise party in a hall with many of our family and friends celebrating with us.
None of us knows what the future may hold for anyone of us, but Praise God we know with assurance that it is Him who holds our future in His Hands.
“And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22:40-42
Indeed God has answered our prayers for good weather. Over the month of June we saw sunshine and blue skies, yes the temperature may still below average for this time of year but, we here in Northern Ireland are still thankful for the improvement that we have.
As we serve the Lord in wherever He has placed us we need to be thankful for all He has given us. Indeed over the past month He has been teaching me to give thanks for all, even when things are not all what they seem to be. Yes, we serve the King of Kings, and we need to focus on this and stop looking towards man for his portion of thanks.
We need to be like Jesus Christ himself when He was in that place that he called out to His Father, ‘Not my will, but thine be done.’
“Look up not down; look forward not back; look out not in; and lend a hand.” Edward E. Hale
“I will go anywhere- provided it is forward.” David Livingstone
